A Romantic Comedy E-book
Fiona’s Fancy by Suzanne Marie Calvin reads like watching a movie. Cal Turner, left at the altar by a runaway bride, swears revenge on the woman that caused the fiasco — Fiona Kelly. Fiona writes an astrological/homeopathic advice column and is dealing with her wacky farm, a stalker, her shop, her column, her eccentric best friend and now a radio show host, “Ghost Rider”, intent on dragging her through the mud at every opportunity. When the New Age heroine and the jaded Army soldier meet, star crossed might as well mean different solar systems, but boy do opposites attract.
This was a great read that zoomed right along with believable plot points and fun, unique characters. Though Fiona and Cal were instantly attracted to each other, watching them fall in love was fun and realistic and easily more than just physical attraction. Their conflicts were just as real, and I was rooting for them to get over the hurdles they kept putting in their own path.
I look forward to reading more from Ms. Calvin. This novel was endearing, fun, and witty. I have high expectations for her next.
