With a desperate aversion to the stench of her baby’s diapers, single mom Ravine Patton thinks a Diaper Genie may be just what she needs. When a tiny glass bottle rolls out, she does what anyone would do and pulls the cork. When a hunky, handsome, Australian genie appears she can’t believe it and demands proof.

The genie’s name, Captain Eugene O’Neill, Gene, is another play on words. The RAF pilot who has been imprisoned in a bottle since 1942 has his work cut out for him with the independent attorney. He tries everything to win her over–cleaning, cooking, dishes, acting as bodyguard, the man even changes diapers! But it isn’t the magic Ravine is drawn to, but the honest integrity of the man who will vanish with her third wish.

Ravine and Gene grow together as friends, bolstering one another’s confidence and enjoying moments with her infant son. The sparks between them give a delightfully romantic and sensual depth to what Ravine is trying to keep as a friendship. The cast of characters in the small Pennsylvania town are hilarious. I couldn’t believe Gene didn’t comment more on how ‘out there’ they were. This is sure to leave readers dreaming of a Gene of their very own.
