Wollie Shelley, the dating correspondent of a talk show (much to the dismay of her boyfriend Simon, an FBI agent), just found out her friend and ex-boyfriend David, producer of a popular soap opera, was shot to death. Unfortunately, Wollie’s best friend Joey seems the most likely suspect, since she inherited a Klimt painting due to his death. Wollie digs into the mystery of how David died and stirs up trouble, and things get even stickier when Joey is implicated in her husband’s death, as well. As Wollie starts figuring out the clues, the killer works on getting her out of the picture — permanently.

A deftly twisting, fun tale, Dead Ex was a blast to read. The characters are quirky and interesting, the setting is fascinating, and it’s a darn good mystery to boot. I loved this story!  I’d highly recommend it.
