Heart broken and riding in the rain, Lord Ryderbourne, heir of Duke Blackdown, sees a dinghy being tossed by the angry waves toward dangerous rocks. Unmoved at first, he casts the tiny boat from his mind, until he sees what appears to be the material of clothing. Plunging into the sea with his steed, he manages to rescue a badly beaten, nearly naked beauty, who is near death.
As a famous courtesan, Miracle Heather has a certain outlook on men and is astounded by Ryder's heroic kindness. Giving a false name, Miracle feels that Ryder would never understand that he, despite his rank, could save her from the man seeking revenge on her. After a night of heated passion that astonished them both, Miracle feels that she can’t bring herself to involve Ryder with the dangers that followed her. And so she flees.
Discovering the true identity of the woman he spent such a fiery embrace with, Ryder feels he must follow, as he is also still responsible for saving her. Not willing to given in to rational thinking, they manage to stay one step ahead of the men who wish to see Miracle hang. Instead, they let their hearts be their guides knowing they share no true future, and face all obstacles that come their way together.
Games Of Pleasure leaves the reader wanting more! The characters are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Ryder and Miracle are unconventional, mind blowing and make each page sizzle with passion. This pleasurable read is filled with action, adventure and oozes of unmistakable emotion. You will want to read Games Of Pleasure time and time again! A true keeper!
