When you start with a lizard who gives his Wizard the finger, you are pretty sure you're in for humorous fantasy frolic. Wizard of time provides that, and a lot more. Wizard Trevor Rains has loved the beautiful witch Morgan Daemoniani since they were both children. Unfortunately, she rejected him back then because he was a nerd. He has returned to town a full-blown wizard and a gorgeous one at that. There are several things that stand in the way of their finding a happily ever after. First, Trevor is looking for revenge not love. Second, nobody's magic is working right, and the entire kingdom is at risk. Last, the seasons are moving in reverse, and no one knows why.

Charged by King Artimer to make the problem better, Morgan and Trevor are at a loss about what to do, except in the bedroom. Trevor conquers Morgan's heart when they finally come together, but finds the taste of vengeance is just as bitter as rejection.

Meanwhile, back at the Academy of Magic where Trevor trained, two teachers seek the answer to the problem of the missing magic. It seems to be linked to Wizard Trevor. That's not the only hot fact they uncover. Then there's the blind date between King Art and Trevor's sister Tessa, who finds she is anxious to fulfill every royal decree.

The story comes to a satisfyingly clever conclusion as all the characters find love casts it's own spells, and magic is very much a thing of the heart. Even Gideon the lizard has a chance to prove he can be all that he ever wished to be.

In Wizard of Time, Ciar Cullen makes us laugh, think, then mixes in some wonderfully spicy moments. The characters are memorable, the references to King Arthur amusing and playful. The story supplies some unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader guessing. Some sudden changes of scene were slightly confusing, but the writer draws you back in to meet the new characters, as she weaves the plot lines together. A fun and witty read you will enjoy.
