Erotic M/M Romance, ebook
Neither Scott Epstein nor Ian Sullivan is gay. Scott Epstein’s sister Claire is a partner in a N.Y. modeling firm and though he dearly wanted to be an actor, he models for the money. Yet when Scott saw Ian Sullivan’s head shot, he couldn’t get the Englishman out of his mind.
Claire introduces them and they become friends. And when the chance came out for a revolutionary commercial, Claire can’t help but recommend the pair. The commercial, aired at half-time on the Super Bowl, would be the first homosexual kiss.
Neither man had any idea that they’d fall in love, nor the difficulties they would have dealing with the rest of the world.
The Kiss is romance at heart and the intimacy between the two gorgeous men could hardly fail to be steamy. The story is mainly told from Claire’s point of view. While she gives us a nice outside view of their developing relationship, she frequently comes across as self-important, and spiteful, as do the other women in this book. They are obsessed with the thought that these two men might be gay, and unable to do anything but be either jealous or hurtful.
While Scott and Ian are real and likeable characters, I couldn’t get into the book. G.A. Hauser just doesn’t seem to have a handle on multi-dimensional female characters and this book suffers greatly because of it.
